Below you will find a few examples of restoration, to give you an idea what is possible, and to
encourage you to start the restoration of your Italian home.
With this arch two rooms divided by a supporting wall were connected and now are the dining-room of an agriturismo. A
sandblasted ceiling with the typical framework called “Capriata”. The wall of visible sandstone was pointed with a special material. The
front wall of this house was, at the beginning of restoration, partially collapsed. Naturally, the house gets the ”final touch” only through the outside works. Before work was started …… …structurally complete …. …the garden structure develops. One
more time, before…. ...and after restoration. Also
a palace in town can be a charming place. A typical terracotta floor. Leaded
window doors with wrought-iron holds. Cotto stairs. A former washbasin is now used as a place to put keys. Reproduced washbasin with modern functionality. Fireplace. Pointed stonewall in the kitchen. Kitchen in old marble. Next 4 photos: property recently restored with original materials An ancient tower has been restored... What italian craftmanship can make of terracotta (baked clay): |
